Booking & Cancellation Info

Deposits

Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing Packages are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Your Package is confirmed once we receive the following deposit (per seat):

Elite $2,700 CAD
Private $5,500 CAD
   

Once we receive your deposit, we will reserve your seat until the full payment due date. If you do not send a deposit by the agreed date, we will release your booking and reserve the right to sell the package to another party. Your final payment is due 10 weeks prior to your first day of skiing and your reservation will automatically be canceled if we do not receive full payment by this date.

Payment options

Our payment options make it easy for you to secure your Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing Package. We accept some major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX), money orders, bank wires and personal cheques (in Canadian or US funds only).  

Refunds

No refund is given, in whole or in part, for unused days or transportation, resulting from late arrival or early departure, no shows or "no-fly days". If inclement weather or helicopter service issues prevents you from reaching the guaranteed vertical footage specified in your package, we will refund the unskied or unsnowboarded footage at the rate of: $30 per 1,000 vertical feet as an in-house credit to be applied on the current trip or $40 per 1,000 vertical feet as a credit for each Deluxe or Elite seat to be applied to a Deluxe or Elite seat on a trip occurring the following year (standard hourly rate guarantees apply for Private packages).

If the skier cancels the reservation and is able to find a replacement skier for the seat(s), all money on account will be refunded less an administrative fee upon full payment by the replacement skier - who assumes full responsibility as per our policy. No refund will be provided if a person is injured while skiing or if a person chooses not to ski for part or all of the Tour and the Tour reserved herein attains the minimum guaranteed vertical footage.

Cancellation Policy

Our reservation and cancellation policies are standard in the helicopter skiing industry. Significant financial commitments related to helicopters, employees, fuel, and supplies are made during summer and fall. Any changes to your reservation are subject to an administration fee of $200.
 
More than 6 months prior to your reservation: when requested your deposit will be refunded minus an administration fee; $250 Cat-Skiing "Intro to Off-Piste", $500 Deluxe/ Elite or Snowcat/Heli tours or $1,000 Private tours (per seat).
 
Less than 6 months prior to your reservation: Your deposit is non-refundable.
 
Less than 10 weeks prior to your reservation: full payment including deposit is non-refundable.

Insurance

We strongly recommend Trip Cancellation and Interruption insurance. It is highly recommended to purchase insurance within 72 hours of making a payment with MWHS to be eligible for the most insurance policy options.

Trip Cancellation & Interruption

Trip cancellation insurance provides coverage for your non-refundable deposit and final payment prior to your first skiing day, while trip interruption insurance will help you recover any losses due to injury or illness while on your vacation in Blue River.

Medical & Emergency Evacuation

We recommend that you carry insurance to cover life and health risks while you are in Canada. If you are injured, you will be charged the helicopter and ambulance expenses associated with your evacuation as well as any expenses related to your medical care. Medical and evacuation insurance will help to cover these costs.

Personal Property

Your property insurance may not cover losses incurred in Canada. Please confirm coverage of personal property losses prior to your vacation or purchase additional insurance as required.
